The Soul

The soul is like a wind that passes over herbs, like dew that falls upon the meadows, like rain-laden air that makes things grow.

So too should a human being pour out goodwill upon all who carry longing within them.

Let that person be a wind that helps the wretched, a dew that comforts the abandoned.

Let them be like rain-bearing air that raises up the weary and fills them with love as one feeds the hungry.
