Rain-Words

Rain-words flood over me. Drawn up by drops, washed into the clouds, I rain into the open scarlet mouth of the poppy.

Love VI

We shall find one another again in the lake: you as water, I as a lotus flower.

11 May 2021 — in memory of Rose Ausländer on her birthday (11 May 1901, Czernowitz — 3 January 1988, Düsseldorf).
